Service to sales
Turn a booked service call into a trade-in conversation.
Every booked service call is a customer who has just told you what car they drive. Cleo can ask, once and lightly, whether they would like a trade-in valuation while the car is in, and send your sales team a task with the details if they say yes.

The opportunity
Service customers are in your lane, and some want a trade-in value.
14%
of vehicle owners said a service provider had shared a trade-in value with them during a service visit
33%
said they were highly interested in getting a trade-in value during a service visit
Service customers are existing customers with a known vehicle and, often, a known mileage. This public survey suggests the conversation about trading in is still the exception. The study says nothing about what a phone call can do: it is context for why the question is worth asking, not a forecast for your store, and not a Cleo result.
One light question
After the booking is confirmed, Cleo asks once.
Only after a confirmed booking, and only once
Cleo makes the offer only after a service appointment was confirmed on the call. If no booking was confirmed, it goes back to what the caller asked and makes no offer. It asks once, in one casual line, whether the caller would like a trade-in valuation on the car while it is in. It is an offer, not a pitch.
A yes becomes a task. A no ends it.
Only if the caller says yes, Cleo creates one sales follow-up task and tells the caller someone from sales will reach out about the valuation. If the caller says no or is not sure, Cleo drops it: it does not ask again and it creates no task.
Cleo makes the offer and the hand-off. The workflow has no appraisal step and no valuation tool, so Cleo does not tell the caller what the car is worth, and your sales team follows up.
The hand-off
A task with the car, the miles, the number and the appointment time.
01 · What the task carries
The task is titled “Trade-in valuation” with the customer’s name. It carries the caller’s vehicle (year, make and model), mileage, phone number, and the date and time of the service appointment.
02 · Where it goes
The task uses one of your own trade-in or used-car sales task categories if you have one, and the sales category if you do not. Task types are set by each dealership. Staff who subscribe to that task type can be emailed when a call leaves one, and the call itself is logged with a summary, outcome tags, a transcript and a recording.
03 · Set up store by store
It is its own workflow, set up store by store alongside the store’s service booking workflow. It is not on for every store by default. The service appointment still comes first: Cleo books it straight into your scheduler and reads back the day and time, and the trade-in question comes only after that, and only once.
These steps are the workflow’s instructions to Cleo, not a guarantee, which is why every call is logged and can be checked.
